Five-Country Energy Ministers Meeting, G8 Energy Ministerial Meeting and G8, China, India and Korea

The Five-Country Energy Ministers Meeting, G8 Energy Ministerial Meeting and G8, China, India and Korea Energy Ministerial Meeting were held in Aomori Prefecture on June 7th and 8th, 2008. Participating in the meetings were eleven countries-Japan, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Russia, the U.K. and the United States-and representatives of the EC and the IEA. Following their in-depth discussions, a joint statement on energy policy measures related to energy security and climate change was announced.
