On Friday, October 23rd, 2009, Prime Minister Hatoyama and his wife Miyuki visited Cha-am Hua Hin, the Kingdom of Thailand to attend a series of ASEAN-related summit meetings.
On Saturday, October 24th, PM attended the Japan-ASEAN Summit Meeting with the leaders of the 10 ASEAN member countries and then the ASEAN+3 Summit, in which the leaders of the ASEAN member countries, Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea took part.
On Sunday, October 25th, Prime Minister Hatoyama attended the East Asia Summit (EAS), which was attended by the leaders of the 10 ASEAN member countries, China, the Republic of Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
